Let me follow up with something. I tried it again and discovered that I can export a file or section to the Mac OSX Desktop. I set up a folder under my music directory and dragged a shortcut to the finder left hand side and tried saving to that folder. It didn't export.
Pardon my delay following up, I've been away the last couple of weeks. Unfortunately I've tried to reproduce this, but I can't -- I have no problem exporting a MIDI file anywhere I try. I wonder if there is some anomaly to do with the particular directory or pathnames involved in your specific case. If you fire up Console.app (in /Applications/ Utlities) does Doggiebox log any error messages when you try the export?
BTW, I was trying to enter some drum transcription in Sibelius, and it was just toooooooooo long a process. I fired up DB and it went very smoothly. Glad I have DB for these kinds of things. It's a great program.
