What about being able to option-click (or some other key) a drum that's already been placed in the song editor to bring up a list of variants for that drum. This way, you can program away without worrying about which sample variant was most appropriate in a given spot, then easily go back and modify and refine the pattern or song. I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but some way to easily select different version (velocities) of a given drum would be great. If I had a snare with 3 different levels, it would be nice to be able to say "use this drum, at this level" and be able to go back and easily change the level.
