I see what you mean. You're right, the "pushed-in" appearance works for loop and play...
Right now the loop button (adjacent) isa push-in type; having two different behaviours adjacent would lead to confusion. The corrollary would be to have a looping/non-looping indication for the loop button and make it non-push-in, but is that really an improvement?
1. The icon could alternate when the button is active. Like play from green triangle to red square. 2. Perhaps this may perceived as cluttering the interface, but could you have two buttons next to each other? One indicates stereo and one mono and maintain "pushed-in" philosophy. My preference would be # 1. Thoughts?
