Well, I've gone up to Mountain Lion now, but Doggiebox seems to be working (haven't fully tried everything, but in general all seems well). However, the weird flickering cursor -- cosmetic issue though it seems -- appears to be with me still. I am not wise enough in the ways of the system to know if there is a good way of capturing a report or log or something on what's going on under the hood. I believe I'm updated to current system updates, except for a Safari update, which is nagging at me.
I am anxious about any effect that Mountain Lion might have on my ability to use Doggiebox, since I don't have a decent backup rig to run this app.

Really, I can't say for sure, of course, that the recent system updates are to blame ... Only that I was using DB a few days ago without a flickering cursor, and now with one, and I have only some software updates at which to point a suspicious finger.
