Hmmm... Well, I tried again turning the level down to 70% and I don't notice the pops at the peaks, but it was always kind of random. I *do* still get two pops as the beginning... during silence. The funny thing is that that is very consistent now but didn't happen yesterday! ;) Maybe I'll reboot and see if it goes away... Are you on Panther? thanks, Pat
