Recent beta versions of DB can be started by a MIDI Start message, stopped by a MIDI Stop message, and it will set it's tempo in response to MIDI clock messages. Note that these are MIDI Real Time messages and not MIDI time code (MTC).
That is correct. To expand and clarify this a bit for others who may have similar gear: Doggiebox responds to both the MIDI Start and Stop (real-time messages) as well as MIDI Machine Control Play and Stop (MMC commands sent in sysex messages). Doggiebox generates MIDI time code (MTC) on playback, but does not heed any such incoming messages -- although as previously noted, does listen to MIDI Clock (real-time) messages for adjusting tempo on a relative basis. -ben -- Ben Kennedy, chief magician zygoat creative technical services 613-228-3392 | 1-866-466-4628 http://www.zygoat.ca
