When editing sounds for use in a kit, is it better to snip them off very close to the end of the file, or is it better to leave them a little longer and let Doggiebox manage the start and end of the sound?
Hello Mike, As with all samples, if you cut the end of the sample too close there will be an audible click as the sound cuts out. I find it better to leave a little bit of space at the end of each sample and do a fade to zero in a sample editor on that extra space, eliminating any potential click. Sndsampler (www.sndsampler.com) is an excellent tool for this job, unfortunately there is no OSX version at present but it works fine in Classic mode.
