Although I'll probably always use DB for finished productions, I am toying with the notion of buying a cheap set to use for writing and some recording. Some of the reviews make me think twice, but on the other hand, these reviewers don't know about the cobbled together piece of crap drum kit I had borrowed for a couple of years. I got lots of satisfaction playing that beater, and it sounded pretty good on recordings as well. I think that kit linked above is a step up. On the other hand, I could probably try to build a kit from parts found on ebay, possibly cheaper. What should I look out for?
