Hi Mike, This type of suggestion has been made before. The question is how best to implement it in a consistent, user-friendly way that does not confuse the UI too much. Right now, you can only place the insertion point in between bars, and only whole bars can be selected. It would be reasonably easy to expand this so the ins pt could be tracked within the bar, for copy/paste of events within the bar along the axis of time. Things can potentially get complicatd, however, e.g.: - issues with time signatures would arise if you were able to just cut/ paste beats from within a bar - the availability to insert or paste beats vs. bars would vary depending on the context (i.e. if the cursor was inside a bar or not), which could cause subtly confusing UI. But maybe I am worrying too much. - how would selection of and copy/paste of individual sounds within a beat work?
