Dear Sion, you can download the latest DoggieBox here: http://doggiebox.com/distribution/Doggiebox.dmg No, I did not record the samples myself, a friend gave it to me.I told him about doggiebox. I'm not able to play drums (that's why I'm using doggiebox). For the crash: I think it would be better to use other crash samples from other kits I have collected over the years. The sample I posted was made quick and dirty. It's just one pattern over the whole song. My little daugter was already sleeping, so I could not sing that loud..... The original recording from Neil Young's "Prairie wind" - that's where this drumkit would have done a good job. Bye Thorsten Sion Morris schrieb:
Thanks for posting this on the list - always good to have a different kit to muck about with. Did you record these yourself? Job well done, if you did.
I've been trying itr out on one of my songs - just replacing one kit with another, and the effect is pretty good and quite naturalistic. You're right about the crash though - I do miss the full on big crash, but on the whole a very nice kit :)) It sounds particularly good on quiet acoustic songs - like the sample you posted - which I liked a lot btw.
One thing though. I had a message that the kit was made with db 1.3.1, which I must have missed. does anyone have a link to this? I can'r find anything in the list messages. It doesn't seem to make any difference when using the kit - but its always good to have the latest version!
Cheers
Sion

Hi folks,
I've uploaded a Brush kit . Have fun using it.
I still have no icons for it, so feel free to send me some.... The Crash sound is poor, but the brush hits are useable (at least for me).
You can download a ZIP compressed .dbkit file here:
