Just gave 1.4 a test whirl on my 10.3.9 first generation clamshell iBook 300Mhz (it's tough and great for bringing to rehearsals). Wasn't expecting it to work, but it seems fine in basic compose and playback mode (haven't tried anything fancy).
Hmm, good to know! I stated 10.4.11 as the "minimum required" for two primary reasons: a) I was pretty sure the ExtAudioFile routines (now used for file format encoding/decoding) were only available starting with 10.4, and b) I hadn't made any effort to test on 10.3 or earlier.
