1. talking about swing ( Pesji )
Pesji-- So far what I've done to mimic swing or shuffle beats is to use a normal 4/4 at the tempo for which the song is intended, and then expand the editing screen in DB so that it has either three or six (or twelve if I'm getting really silly with fills) boxes available in each beat. This allows for a very square (or triangular?) triplet feel to be used. Here's a pattern I put together to illustrate... I'm probably supposed to upload this to the site first, but I'm heading out the door and this is easier. ;-) If you don't have the latest Hemberger kit (or David's kit) I'd recommend it, as it has a good range of hits for each drum. But you can map this to very basic hits and still get the idea. I also don't have the latest build-- I'm still back on 1b6 but this should translate forward... right? Thanks Dan

Folks, I think the list automatically snips off attachments that are sent to it. Or at least they aren't making it as far as my inbox. I think one does have to email attached files either direct to Ben (or privately to the individual in question) or post them on a web site for download or something like that. I think the list will just continue to lop them off. Cheers, Carl -- Carl Edlund Anderson http://www.carlaz.com/
