Summertime is a rough period to park oneself before their mac and devote lots of time to programming. That is, for those of us not free to roam with laptops. I have done a couple of things with my "Behan Box II" kit, and I've been digging the garage sound it gives me. I'm dying to use the "70's Ludwig Kit" on something. I really dig the approach to the different snare sounds there. The "buzz", "flam", and "rim" sounds all offer some nice possiblities. Autumn's coming. My productivity increases with crisp cool weather.

Hey all, is this list alive? It's been a long time since I've heard a peep out of anyone ....

Ah, well, it's always cool weather in the UK ;) Still, I haven't managed much fresh work myself. I've got part of a kit put together using GarageBand's "Percussion Kit" and part of a nskit7 kit put together (these both use the new technique of referencing known sample file positions). And I've experimented with assemble a drum part for generic rock-style song using the new pallette'n'playlist, trying to use that UI more efficiently. But everything is kind of partial. Anyway, I was starting to rev up my recording gear again and was wondering what was up in the World of DoggieBox .... Cheers, Carl -- Carl Edlund Anderson http://www.carlaz.com/

Haven't been doing much with DB lately either. I did a couple of quick demos for ideas using the Tama Swingstar Kit. I've actually been spending more time recording live bands to 1/2" tape and mixing in the analog world. Spinning knobs in real time and learning where the "awesome" button is on the outboard stuff. yes... perhaps when it gets cooler... yes... 97 in Seattle/Tacoma last week. Ugh.
