Hey all, Grab the latest build: <http://www.doggiebox.com/distribution/ Doggiebox-1G04.zip> This version features a new automatic update-checking mechanism (powered by the popular Sparkle framework). This means that from now on, updating to the latest build should be effortless and without the hassle of having to manually download and expand a zip file each time! On the second launch or so, you will be asked whether to include anonymous system profile information when looking for updates. This is optional, but would be helpful if you chose to do so, since it will help me gauge what sort of platforms are running Doggiebox (e.g. Mac OS versions, hardware, etc.) as well as what preferences options and program features people are using. These statistics will help guide future development decisions. Also in this build is an attempt at improved user experience for playback, with the insertion point and playhead position now unified. Rather than always starting at the top, playback now begins at the insertion point, and the insertion point is set where playback is stopped. Finally, the drum kit list has moved from the song document window into the inspector, along with minor cosmetic changes to the song document window and some main menu commands (part of an on-going overhaul of the UI). -ben -- Ben Kennedy (chief magician) zygoat creative technical services http://www.zygoat.ca

I've been using DB 1.4.2 with Garageband 08 with pretty much ease. When I export the audio in WAV, I can drag it straight into a New Instrument window. With the DB1G, I export to the multiple and the stereo files to desktop and drag to the New Instrument window. However, there is no indication of the files containing any information and I do not get any sound. Bruce On Jul 18, 2009, at 12:59 AM, Ben Kennedy wrote:

Oops, this is a new bug introduced as a result of changes to the playback/insertion point stuff in the new build. Will fix this; thanks. David Sampson wrote at 10:14 AM (-0700) on 7/20/09:
I got the beta the other day and just fired it up. I don't know if anyone has reported this, but when you load the demo song and resize the window, the playlist obliterates the play controls in the lower right hand corner.
Oops, will fix this too. Thanks Bruce and Dave, -b -- Ben Kennedy (chief magician) zygoat creative technical services http://www.zygoat.ca
