Re: [Doggiebox] Doggie Box on Leopard

I emailed the info email given on the zygoat site about this. Basically, I am ready to upgrade to Leopard, but I won't until I have a decent software drum solution. I don't suppose any new products have appeared on the market that work as well as DoggieBox? (Or even almost as good as DoggieBox?) I am still surprised there aren't similarly designed products out there. It really is a great product. Mark

I hate to say it, but iDrum performs a similar function. http:// www.izotope.com/products/audio/idrum/ I don't know what the support is like. Support for Doggiebox was really good for a long time... then. nothing. On Oct 30, 2007, at 1:54 PM, Mark Cain wrote:

I looked at iDrum some while back -- to be honest it doesn't seem bad, really, but (at the time I checked it out, at least) it would only program in 4/4! I'm just a simple rock'n'roller, but I would start to find that a bit limiting. Sure, there are features that could be added to DB that would help bring it up-to-date -- it's been a while since a refresh! -- but considering how long it's been without much change, DB is still pretty practical! I'd rather have an updated DB than have to look for a replacement, in any case! Cheers, Carl -- Carl Edlund Anderson http://www.carlaz.com/

Likewise. Don't get me wrong. We just haven't heard anything — at all — in a year... I'd like to see it opened up also if it's going to just sit idle and become obsolete.

Agreed. It would be nice to know for sure, one way or another. Cheers, Carl -- Carl Edlund Anderson http://www.carlaz.com/
