This is a good song man. The drums have a real enough feel. For some reason, it reminds me a bit of the Lazy Cowgirls. This new kit sounds good. I agree on the nskit. I always make a duplicate of the songs programmed using the nskit and blend two versions of exported aiff files — usually with the Tama Swingstar — for "oomph".

I may have mentioned it. To me, most of the kit samples sound anemic by themselves. Sometimes I bring in the tracks one at a time as well so I can add effects and control volume of the tracks individually. Another technique I've found useful is to layer in real cymbals over the sampled drums.
Though I really didn't lay down any tom toms, here's an instrumental using both techniques http://fuzzylogical.com/demos/NovaraActionTheme.mp4. There are 8 aiffs for the kick and snare parts, four for each the verse and chorus. I think it starts to fatten up nicely.
