Great that there's a new version - have had a quick look and like the new styling of the control panels. Record button looks like a great idea. I wonder if this could be married up with some midi drum pads? On another note what does everyone think of a DB Facebook page. we could all interact - post up songs/resources etc maybe? Just a thought Sion

Good thought, really. A Facebook page seems the must-do means of getting product visibility these days. The university department I work for publishes a little free, online journal, and I recently set up an FB page for it; the only real function is to garner more hits and visibility, but there you go -- it could only be a good thing, really. :) Cheers, Carl On 22 Jul 2010, at 06:17 , Sion Morris wrote:

That should definitely work. I don't have any real MIDI drum hardware to try out, but I've so far tested it using a soft synth (MidiKeys) acting as an input MIDI source. It would be cool to hear how it works in the field.

Great idea. Feel free to take the lead on it, if you're so inclined! I'm fairly busy at the moment but would be willing to help flesh it out when I can. Facebook is surely a key marketing tool these days, so definitely something to keep in mind pushing for the 2.0 launch. -b -- Ben Kennedy (chief magician) zygoat creative technical services http://www.zygoat.ca

Haven't got a set of pads either (on my wish list) but sounds very do- able. Would be amazing with a complete ns-kit version all mapped up with velocities. That's one big guy project in the making... Carl? ;-) Seriously though I think that could be one big selling point for Db. For many, getting a track into db to 'work on' in this way would save a lot of effort and would increase the the fun of db and allow people to create better more natural sounding tracks with all the editing benefits of db.

Ok -will do! Have some work to finish off this week and then will get onto it. Sion

Hi Ben / all I've now set up the official Doggiebox Facebook page which will hopefully be a new space where we can interact and share tracks, kits etc. Unfortunately its not straightforward to upload mp3 files, but I've tried converting one to a video format and uploading that, and it seems to work fine. The address is: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Zygoat-Doggiebox-The-beat-sequencer-for-Mac-OS... Which will be shortened when we have more fans. or just type doggiebox into the FB search Ben - let me know if you want to be an admin for the page. Cheers Sion

Try box.net, people! Explore! You can freely upload and share files securely or publicly. There's built-in facebook integration also. ---- Sion Morris <sionwm@cinnamondesign.co.uk> wrote:

Right on, great work Sion and thanks for taking the initiative! I am about to head out of town for a couple of weeks on vacation, but am looking forward to seeing what sort of following it garners over the coming weeks. I'll get my hands into in it once I'm back. -b -- Ben Kennedy (chief magician) zygoat creative technical services http://www.zygoat.ca
