Hi Christoph,
You posted to the list which was rejected since you are apparently not subscribed to the list. Nonetheless your posting was forwarded to me, so I'll reply to you and copy the list. :)
These are all great suggestions which will probably be acted upon, eventually!
- When adding a new marker and naming it, can hitting return simply unmark
it for editing, rather than moving to the next item and allow it to be edited?
Yeah, that one has been irritating me as well. I'll see what I can do about that.
- Can there be separate 'Play', 'Play Selected' and 'Play From' buttons?
I find it really inconvenient while holding a guitar to option-click to hear only a few bars. I envision 'Play From' will start playback from the currently selected bar.
These would be practical improvements, I agree. At least, separating "play selected" and "play from". I think having three controls might be confusing... but I suppose that they could be honed into two and work like thus:
- "play" button, which would play the current selection (if any, otherwise, the whole song) - "play from" button, which would play from the current insertion point onward.
Thus to play the whole song, you could either deselect all and hit play, or rewind to beginning and hit play.
What do you think?
PS. I can't give enough props to Doggiebox, my friends are tired of me showing them :)
Awesome :)
(mind if I use that quote on the web site?)

My single, most important, feature request is that we be given the ability to export individual instrument tracks so that greater control can be had at mixdown. I've been stuck many times when I wanted to apply an effect to only the snare, for example, but I can't because I have only a pre-mixed stereo file.
I could live with UI quirks just about forever, if I could get a killer export for my troubles <g>.
