Pat; This is a really interesting clip. I have 2 teenaged daughters, a purchased version of DoggieBox, and a couple of Macs about. My kids are really looking forward to GarageBand coming to our house. (so am i) I had three women "air guitaring" it while listening to your clip. Boy, was I embarrased. Usually that's my job :-) I purchased DoggieBox to put into Deck LE (almost purchased last week; delayed it because of DoggieBox) I presume it's easy to haul things like DoggieBox clips in? If you do, can you set "positions" indicating start of bars? (eg, can you skim along to bar 432?) Thanks; JohnS.

Hmm... cool. I may have to check that out. Too bad it costs a bunch. :)
Though not significantly different from a V-Amp, if I remember the price of those roughly aright. Meanwhile, I'm interested in seeing if I can fiddle GB into being a brainless way make quick'n'easy accompaniment parts with instruments I don't own/play (which I might be able to do with MIDI and/or sequencers if I a) had the software and b) was clever enough to figure out how it worked :) But I suppose in theory once I work out my percussion in Doggiebox, I could make a track of the same length/tempo in GB, slap in some instrumentation where I wanted it, and then record the drum and GB accompaniment tracks off to my VS-1680 and nudge them into alignment .... And I can probably have fun making bad electronica in GB :) Cheers, Carl -- Carl Edlund Anderson mailto:cea@carlaz.com http://www.carlaz.com/

Thanks. They provide some great samples, it doesn't require much skill to put them together ;) Here's a quick hack with some "Eastern" drums, "Celtic" violin, and "Rock" drums: http://pat.net/mix1.mp3

It should be easy. GarageBand is laid out in bars, so assuming everybodies timing is correct we should be able to lay Doggiebox tracks down directly and move them around easily. I'll try it out today. Pat
