I'm sure this topic must have already been discussed, but could anyone please tell me what the best way to export songs into Sound Edit Pro would be (as in what file type is best read ...... AIFF or wave )? Every time I try to export a song the progress bar just sits and I have to eventually force quit the application in older builds, and as far as 1.0.4 goes, the application crashes even though it produces a file that I can't open in any application I have.
I've successfully gotten WAV files out of 1.0.4 (the ones one my website), though I do sometimes get odd crashes on saving or quiting (though it seems to crash _after_ saving, which is OK, if quirky). My understanding is that AIFFs and WAVs are functionally identical: both are pulse-code modulated (PCM) uncompressed digital audio, differing primarily by byte order, I think. I've produced WAV files from DB simply because they are less confusing to my Windozing friends ;) Cheers, Carl -- Carl Edlund Anderson mailto:cea@carlaz.com http://www.carlaz.com/
