i check out any mini drum sequencing release that i find. i've been sequencing drums forever. if i wanna goof i have to open up digital performer and all that, so i'm behind something like dog. it's pretty cool.
Exactly, that's the idea... Doggiebox is a sequencer with the drummer primarily in mind, without extra composition stuff that is better served by other apps. (Although you never know how things might evolve... ;)
for me, i would say the one thing i'd like it to do is auto select the drum i want to add according to where the cursor is on the grid. i find it a bit frustrating to go back to the drum menu to add or subtract. one wrong click could erase a beat and the undo won't fix it.
You already can -- just hold the command key while over the grid! :) I think I will implement a preferences option to make this the default behaviour. It is not the initial default, however, because I suspected that such "smartness" would confuse a new user trying to understand the relationship between the editor and the selection in the drum kit list.
i'm sure you've been flooded with volunteers to be testers. well, i'm hella qualified if you have any special requests.
Excellent. I recommend you subscribe to the mailing list (send a message to doggiebox-subscribe@lists.zygoat.ca) so you can share ideas with others too. -ben -- Ben Kennedy, chief magician zygoat creative technical services 613-228-3392 | 1-866-466-4628 http://www.zygoat.ca
