Well a scale would be the idea, I envisioned something more like a pitch wheel. The tool would probably end up being an application itself.. I suppose other programs do what I describe, something like a sample editor. I have yet to record any drums of my own, I am not a drummer and I don't have a machine. I have not really explored that part of Doggiebox. I plan on experimenting with some sounds that I have saved as aiffs... I am fairly new to computer recording, so experiment is the word.. I agree on beat sequencing, Mike.. I just saw this as an opportunity to throw in some coins into a wishing well. I don't want to take Ben away from perfecting the Dog. 8) Anecdote: In one of the first garage bands I was in, we tuned to the bass drum! (it wasn't my idea) None of us had a tuner, or perfect pitch. The phone was upstairs and we needed a reference point. What a crazy band that was. I won't go on...... On Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at 03:41 PM, Ben Kennedy wrote:

One of the last wishes was with regards to the Drum editor. I've been holding back on this but it looks like for a good time to bring it up. I thought about it when Billy was asking about the Big pipe drum.
A tuner!
Like a guitar tuner, with a needle kind of thing for tuning to a standard musical scale? Explain how you would use this...
I assume the Drum editor could end up being a sound editor of some sort....
The thought has crossed my mind... :) But then at this point, I don't want to get too distracted with non-core features -- there are lots of other apps which do sound recording/editing pretty well. Once the main features of DB start to settle down, I may start focusing in on that more.
