Well Ben the list sure is getting bigger... The program sure is getting better too.
One of the last wishes was with regards to the Drum editor. I've been holding back on this but it looks like for a good time to bring it up. I thought about it when Billy was asking about the Big pipe drum.
A tuner! I assume the Drum editor could end up being a sound editor of some sort....
Thanks Ben, Later Gavin.

Like a guitar tuner, with a needle kind of thing for tuning to a standard musical scale? Explain how you would use this...

The thought has crossed my mind... :) But then at this point, I don't want to get too distracted with non-core features -- there are lots of other apps which do sound recording/editing pretty well. Once the main features of DB start to settle down, I may start focusing in on that more.

I vote for staying focused on beat sequencing <g>.
I will wait to see what form Ben's "poll" takes. I'd love a chance to get a vote that counts.
As for the beta working... no real problems to report here.

Well a scale would be the idea, I envisioned something more like a pitch wheel. The tool would probably end up being an application itself.. I suppose other programs do what I describe, something like a sample editor.
I have yet to record any drums of my own, I am not a drummer and I don't have a machine. I have not really explored that part of Doggiebox. I plan on experimenting with some sounds that I have saved as aiffs... I am fairly new to computer recording, so experiment is the word..
I agree on beat sequencing, Mike.. I just saw this as an opportunity to throw in some coins into a wishing well. I don't want to take Ben away from perfecting the Dog. 8)
Anecdote: In one of the first garage bands I was in, we tuned to the bass drum! (it wasn't my idea) None of us had a tuner, or perfect pitch. The phone was upstairs and we needed a reference point. What a crazy band that was. I won't go on......

That IS weird... =)
(Was the bass drum known to be tuned to some given pitch? Why didn't you just pick one of the guitars and tune to it? hehe)
