Hey all,
I've just posted a new build which addresses the following:
- Fixed bugs that caused exporting to fail in some circumstances (with a spurious sample rate and channel selection, as well as incorrect disk free space calculation). Thanks Charlie and Jack. - Fixed a redrawing issue that followed an insert or removal of beats. - Fixed a recent regression where some preferences (particularly MIDI endpoints) were not sticking. - The tempo basis selector in transport panel is now left-clickable.
If the automatic software update doesn't seem to be working, you can download directly from http://www.doggiebox.com/distribution/ Doggiebox-1G12.zip.

Ben,
I don't use the word Hero very often, but…
Cheers

Ah, how _should_ that be working? Should DB check for updates on launch? My version (1.4.3 1F11) doesn't seem to, nor does there seem to be a "Check for Updates ..." sort of command ....

The check for updates feature is not present in 1.4.3 (the current release version). It is only available in the beta series, and will be a new feature in 2.0.
I believe a minor bug in the last build or two might have broken it temporarily, though.

Huh, I could have sworn I had the previously latest beta already installed as the default version to use, but -- given a harder look at the version number that launches for me, and Ben's explanation -- perhaps not! I will have to investigate ....

Update works for me on the latest (1G12), but was grayed out on the earlier one. Check for update on launch would be good - I must say that I find it useful in other programs.

Now that I found my install from the beta series, I discovered that the "Check for update" was also greyed out for me -- but then it must have checked automatically, since in less than a minute a window popped up telling me a new version was available and giving me the option to install it. Now I have 1G12 running happily (so far!) and "Check for update" is no longer greyed out; it tells me I'm up to date when I run it, too.
Cheers, Carl
