Hey all,
In typical form, some news on the Doggiebox front after a long spell of silence. :)
I think I mentioned here awhile back that I had moved a couple of years ago to go to film school for a change of pace and new creative/ intellectual stimulation. In April of last year, I was hired for a full- time position as an assistant editor in post-production here in Vancouver. It has been a fun and rewarding new experience. Alas, I was recently laid off (along with the bulk of the company's staff) and am now back on my own.
Given the circumstances, I have decided establish a new office/work space and ramp up Mac software development efforts again, full-time.
Over the coming weeks my intent is to address current bugs and usability problems in Doggiebox, and begin a new branch where I can finally get working on long-awaited new features and improvements such as have been raised and discussed on this list in the past.
I've already fixed a MIDI export problem under 10.4 as well as a copy- and-paste bug in the pattern editor, and should have a maintenance release out soon.
I would like to thank you all for your enthusiasm over the past few years, and I'm heartened that you're still hanging around on this list. :)

Wow, and only just earlier today I was wondering (again ;)): "What's up, if anything, with Doggiebox?"
Well, condolences on being laid off, Ben! Though I guess it looks likely to benefit the DB user-community. ;) Yup, I guess there are a bunch of us still hanging around here on the list, and Doggiebox is certainly still my main computer-percussion tool. :) I sometimes use 3rd-party Apple Loops when sketching out song ideas, but I have yet to find anything that can beat Doggiebox in terms of power and flexibility versus ease of use! So I'll be awaiting developments with interest! :)
Cheers, Carl

Yay!!
But very sorry to hear that you were laid off. You never know though, could be for the best, and there's certainly increasing interest in mac development with the iphone and mac os in general becoming more popular.
Like Carl, I still use Doggiebox as my main drum tool. Its the perfect mechanism for creating the drum track that lives in your head. Garageband and Doggiebox are all I think I'll ever need.
As the other faithful Doggieboxers, am looking forward to testing new beta versions as you work on new features.
So first off I've both new builds and unfortunately have a problem with the new separate export feature.
1.4.2 exports no problem but when exporting stereo mix or separate 1.5 Beta shows the message "some files already exist. Do you want to replace them? (this is in an empty folder) if I click 'yes' Db quits unexpectedly and no files are created.
