Yall,
After almost a year and a half since the last official release, 1.3 is
finally on the public shelf. Download here and share with all your friends:
<http://www.doggiebox.com/distribution/Doggiebox.dmg>
Notable changes since the last (1E13) beta include a pasting bug
reported by Charlie, as well as extensive updates to the documentation,
which is also now set up to open in the Apple Help Viewer.
And now, new and good things begin...
enjoy,
-ben

Yall,
I've just added a link to the Library page for <http://
www.echomethod.com>, a site housing an extensive selection of drum
sample collections that can be purchased by paypal. There is also a
free kit available for download.
I am not affiliated with this site, but the author e-mailed me about it
and requested the link. It looks like it could be a good resource for
building Doggiebox kits. I have yet to try any of them out, but if
anyone beats me to it (or puts together a .dbkit), feel free to share!

Yall,
New build at <http://www.doggiebox.com/distribution/Doggiebox-1E13.tbz>
What's new:
- Select All now selects full bars instead of beat subdivisions.
- When changing an existing drum to a different variant, the current
velocity is preserved.
- Time signature is now editable via keyboard in the inspector.
Okay, it's about time 1.3 is kicked out to the world. So here's the
plan. I am going to update the documentation as a next step, and hope
to announce the release by the end of next week. After that point, I
want to branch the code tree and begin working more aggressively with
larger changes for an eventual 2.0 release.
While you're reading this, I'd appreciate if you would answer an
extremely-short three-question survey at to help me get an idea of
current Doggiebox usage patterns. Please visit <http://
www.doggiebox.com/beta/febquest.php>; it should take you about five
seconds. :)
In the Chinese calendar, 2006 is the Year of the Dog. I'm hoping that
some renewed enthusiasm will see through some faster progress.
