Hey yall,
Over the past several weeks I've been tied up with some film projects
followed by a bunch of less-satisfying sys-admin type crap, so I have
been slower getting this out than I hoped. That said, here is what I
expect to be the last build before an actual new public release.

Number of small internal changes throughout this one, but which should
not present any obvious differences. Having said that, there is one
functional change that came out of a recent discussion:
• To improve ease of most frequent use, the invocation behaviour for the
“Insert Bar[s]” button in the Inspector has been reversed. Now, its
default function is “Insert Bar” (one bar). To insert several bars,
first hold Shift so that it becomes “Insert Bars...”, and you will be
prompted as before.
Comments welcome.
I need to verify/get the documentation and web site up to date, then I
hope to post the 1.4 final and a public announcement within the next
couple of days.

Although I'll probably always use DB for finished productions, I am
toying with the notion of buying a cheap set to use for writing and
some recording. I'm not completely without drum skills, but I really
don't know much about the gear or how to tweak it for recording.

That link has a set that attracts me from a value perspective. Some
of the reviews make me think twice, but on the other hand, these
reviewers don't know about the cobbled together piece of crap drum
kit I had borrowed for a couple of years. I got lots of satisfaction
playing that beater, and it sounded pretty good on recordings as
well. I think that kit linked above is a step up.
On the other hand, I could probably try to build a kit from parts
found on ebay, possibly cheaper.
What should I look out for?
