Hey guys, that's a good start! Some key issues affecting all users of "homemade" special-purpose software are already surfacing here. For example, how many of us tend to assume that just because we happen to use a particular program, we are somehow entitled to receive regular updates from some unseen hand, preferably without charge? Or that the process of improving any software program is mostly a matter of adding a few more cool features? How many users, let alone user communities, actually feel some responsibility for assuring the survival of "their" program on the software market, or have any appreciation of what establishing and maintaining the marketability of such a specialized software product as this one entails? Theses days we are used to taking our clean water for granted, without ever coming anywhere near knowing or paying its actual costs. We are used to grabbing lots of "free" software off the internet, and lots of "free" music and video and images too. Good tools are however seldom free, and they tend to evolve slowly, with significant amounts of help from their earliest users. We may lose this one if we cannot figure out together how to keep it alive. -Sterling

Umm... that was mine. You're talking about the song called "Footprints". I'm sensitive to the F bomb in the latter part of the song. But, it's only the one place, and Kevin sings it like he means it. In other words, it doesn't come across (to me, anyway) as being overly gratuitous, or just thrown in for the sake of it. It's the only song of ours where that happens, and I was willing to let it slide, since it seemed to come from a place of integrity, if that makes any sense. A real drummer is a possibility. We're working on about five songs right now, including a remake of one we did years ago. Call it an EP, I guess. Not concerned about commercial exposure at the moment. A dream of mine is to quit my cover band, and throw a unit together that consisted of really good solid musicians, then take this music to our local scene. We might not make any money, but I really want to share this music live. I will post more as it develops. And your 2 cents is always welcome, Patrick. automatic repetition of edits, why?

New (paid-up) user here, having fun. The icons are charming. Something odd: I put in a few bars, then copied & pasted them to have some patterns to play with. Then when I enter a note, it's automagically pasted not only into the bar I'm editing, but the matching bar of the next (repeated) sequence. It's like whatever I do happens in two places at once. Not sure how to de-link them, the original sequence and its copy. I haven't found a reference to this in the Help or the archives. Is it a bug or a feature? Also, is it possible to copy just one voice? I am enjoying the sound files you all have posted. There's talent here!
